Bill was born and raised in Arcola, Illinois where he attended school.
He married Helen Craven on April 10, 1947, and they moved to the Jacobson area in 1948 where he established their homestead.
He worked for the Minnesota Highway Department, farmed and later worked for Cole Forest Products, retiring in 1985.
Bill is survived by his wife, Helen; daughter, Marsha Hansen; sisters, Loraine Sutton, Maxine Key, and Betty Minor; brother, Harold; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Gertrude (Burch) Key and a son, Rex in 1982.
Bill died at home in Splithand Township, Itasca County, Minnesota and is buried in Harris Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot 1.14.1.x)
