Maurice married Myrtle Aleksich on September 27, 1947 in Bovey, Minnesota.
Maurice farmed for many years in the Trout Lake area in Itasca County and then went to work for School District 318 as a mechanic and bus driver. He retired in 1985.
Maurice was a member of First Church of God in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 13 of Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
He is survived by his wife, Myrtle; two daughters, Barbara (Gerald) Herschbach and Mary (William) Booth; two sons, George (Rita) and Michael; eleven grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; four brothers; and three sisters.
Maurice was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and one brother.
Maurice passed away at his home and is buried in Lakeview Cemetery at Coleraine, Minnesota. (Block 152)
