Newspaper article: 1944 – “Kermit Miller, S 3/c from Jacksonville, Florida, and wife, formerly Lucille Olson, with a rating in the WAVE of AMM 3/c, came home Monday night to visit their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Miller and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Olson. Lucille Olson Miller has resigned from the WAVE after serving about 18 months and will remain with her parents in Coleraine when her husband returns to his post.

Kermit Miller married Lucille (Dodie) Olson in Florida in 1944. They then moved to California after World War II and worked in the aerospace industry until his retirement. Since retirement, the couple spent their summers at their trailer parked at Kom-On-In Beach on Trout Lake near Bovey, Minnesota. Kermit was a member of the Bovey Moose Lodge, the American Legion, and Past commander of the Monterey Park, CA Post.
Kermit died in Canoga Park, California and is buried in Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine, Minnesota (Block 61). He is survived by his wife Lucille; two sons, Bob and Frank (Kathy) Miller; a daughter, Sandy (Ed) Rauen; a brother, Fritz Miller; and a sister, Susan Jenson.
