Survivors are his wife, Marilyn; a daughter, Shirley Mitchell; a brother, Eugene; three sisters, Mrs. Elmer (Mary Ellen) Peterson, Mrs. Roy (Shirley) Laneir, and Mrs. Seigel (Carmalee) Sampson; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gerald died at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota and is buried in Evergreen Knoll Cemetery at Marcell Township in Itasca County, Minnesota.
