Elwood is survived by a sister, Mrs. Leonard Schickling; and a brother, Leo Betz.
Elwood passed away following a lingering illness at the Veteran's Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota. He is buried in Itasca Calvary Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot I-D-11-1-1)
