Charles Middleton married Jean Hanson in 1949 in Minnesota. He was employed by Cleveland Cliffs Mining Company, retiring in 1981 as a foreman after 35 years of service. He served as the Marble, Minnesota City Clerk for 10 years. He was a member of the Canisteo Masonic Lodge No. 271 of Coleraine, Minnesota, and a member of the Marble American Legion Post No. 327.
Charles died in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and is buried in Lakeview Cdemetery, Coleraine, Minnesota (Block 121). He is survived by his wife, Jean; three sons, David, Neal, and Wayde; three daughters, Gail (Dennis) Bowman, Alanna (Rodger) Brown, and Lori (Robert) Staydohar; one brother, Ralph; one sister, Betty Lusso; and ten grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry in 1973; his mother, Blanche, in 1990; and one daughter, Diane.
