Tony served with Company G, 108th Infantry in the South Pacific during World War II.

Tony was at one time a Nashwauk, Minnesota resident.
He was the last surviving child of pioneer Nashwauk residents Pasquale and Sara (Gito) Dalessio. The Dalessio's had a grocery business on Second Street from 1903 to 1923 and also farmed in Cloverdale.
Tony is survived by his wife, Gladys; and two sons, Anthony, Jr. and Alfred. He is also lovingly remembered by nieces Charlene Johnson, Loretta Stimac and Sara Heilman.
Tony died in St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Chicago, Illinois and interment was at Saint Lucas Cemetery (also known as Saint Luke Cemetery) in Chicago, Illinois. No photo of grave marker is available at this time.
