Born in St. Paul, Don was raised at Dalbo where he attended schools.
He married Lorraine Hiatt at Jacobson, Minnesota in 1945. A carpenter for construction companies by trade and a member of the Carpenters Union local, Don lived in the Grand Rapids, Minnesota area since 1954. He was a member of the Ponti-Peterson Post of the V.F.W.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Lorraine; a son, Donald, Jr.; a sister, Mrs. Leonard (Margaret) Lange; a brother, Emil; and three grandchildren.
Don died at St. Lukes Hospital in Duluth, Minnesota. He is buried in Harris Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot 2.24.3.7)
