Kenneth Berendts married Lois Enstrom in 1946. He taught high school in Amboy, Minnesota prior to a life-long career in the grocery business, retiring in 1987.
Kenneth Berendts died in Sun City, Arizona and is buried in Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine, Minnesota (Block 152). He is survived by his wife, Lois Enstrom Berendts; two daughters, Cathy Ann Berendts and Barbara (Tom) Hansen; two sons, Brad (Tammy) Berendts, and Bruce (Deb) Berendts; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Irene McCarthy.
