    Lawrence was a lifelong resident of Grand Rapids, Minnesota. He married Elsie Ragsdale on October 1, 1949. He worked for United States Steel for 18 years, Century Mathew Motor Freight for 18 years, Figgins Trucking, and Dart Trucking. After retiring at age 62, he kept busy helping elderly people with lawn mowing and snowplowing.

    He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie; his parents; sisters, Marian and Lila; and a grandchild, Dawn Lee.

    Survivors include daughters, Darlene (John) Hietala, Karline (Mike) Muzzy, and Lila Gilbert; sons, Donny (Deb), James, Dennis, Roy, and Paul (Sue); eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and five brothers and sisters, Veona, Dorothy, Fay, Larry, and Jess.

    Buried in Harris Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot 3.18.4.6)
