Marvin Kangas married Linda Tobeck in Hibbing, Minnesota in 1959. He was a self-directed truck driver for logging, mining and trucking operations and did some carpentry work.
Marvin died in Trout Lake Township, Itasca County, Minnesota and is buried in Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine, Minnesota (Block 29, Lot 39). He is survived by his wife, Linda; son, Mike; two daughters, Rhonda (Jay) Gould and Kathleen (Keith) Sumner; a brother, Ken (Pat); a sister, Diane (Bruce) Mangseth; and three grandchildren.
