Bill lived most of his life in the Nashwauk, Minnesota area.
After the service, Bill worked as a house painter and owned and operated a gold mine in Oregon for several years. For the last 25 years, Bill made his home on the north side of Mille Lacs Lake where he owned and operated Bill and Helen's Tavern for 12 years.
His wife, Helen, died in 1981.
Bill is survived by one brother, Ted; one sister-in-law, Eini Major; two nephews; and four nieces.
Bill died at Itasca Medical Center in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. He is buried in Nashwauk Cemetery at Nashwauk, Minnesota.
