    He was an avid trapper and outdoorsman.

    Previously of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, he moved to Effie, Minnesota in 1977.

    He was a member of national and state trappers associations.

    Gordon married Dorothy Nilson on August 16, 1947 at Rockford, Illinois.

    In 1927, he retired from employment with Blandin Paper Company where he belonged to the Quarter Century Club.

    Gordon was a member of the Effie Presbyterian Church and the Effie American Legion.

    He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; a daughter, Mrs. Odell (Rocky) Odberg; three sons, Wayne, Curt, and Doug; two brothers, Lowell and Robert; and two sisters, Ardis Johnson and Shirley Johnson.

    Gordon passed away at Northern Itasca Hospital in Bigfork, Minnesota. He is buried in Bigfork Cemetery at Bigfork, Minnesota.
