George came to Warba, Minnesota as a child, attended Warba School and Grand Rapids High School.
He worked for King Lumber Company of Grand Rapids for several years, then established his own business Glorvigen Accounting.
George was a member of Cap Baker Lions Club in Grand Rapids, where he served as treasurer for 38 years, Aad Temple Shrine in Duluth, Minnesota, Shrine Cycle Patrol, Masonic Lodge 208, Jephthah Chapter Order of Eastern Star, Moose Lodge 2023, Eagles Aerie 2469, Ponti-Peterson Post 1720 Veterans of Foreign Wars, McVeigh-Dunn Post 60 American Legion, all of Grand Rapids, numerous accounting organizations through his business, Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce and a former member of the Coleraine School Band.
George is survived by his wife, Margaret; four sons, Gene, Rick, Martin and Scott; two daughters, Nancy Haver and Susan Miskovich; thirteen grandchildren; three step-brothers, Jim Brown, Johnny Brown, and Bob Brown; five step-sisters, Marion Mutchler, Violet Burt, Mary Brown, Ethel Gierok; and Betty Haun.
George died at Itasca Nursing Home in Grand Rapids and is buried in Itasca Calvary Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot I-A-12-0-4)
