Welcome to the Itasca Veterans Project!

Thousands of Itasca County residents have served in the armed forces from the Civil War to the present. This site will make available to you, the visitor, and their stories.

This project started from one person saying “We need a place where people who have served can tell their own story”. The Itasca County Historical Society’s own Karjala Genealogy and History Research Center have for years collected obituaries, photos of graves and genealogy on many of Itasca County Residents. From that collection we are now able to share that information with you.
